My Dynamics 365 journey: A professional and personal adventure

Since I graduated from Multiplatform Application Development, my vision for my professional future was focused on becoming a good developer, immersing myself in lines of code and building technology solutions from scratch. However, life had a little surprise for me, and my journey started in a direction I couldn´t have anticipated.

When I attended Axazure´s lecture at my school, it was clear to me that I wanted to do an internship at this company. I could feel a strong connection whit Axazure, the same one you have when you really know something is meant to be for you; for instance, when you are looking for an apartment and as soon as you enter the house, you know that house is going to be your home. And so it was, I signed up for the internship with Axazure and after an interview, I finally enrolled myself as a Dynamics 365 consultant intern. The first thought that came up to my mind was: me being a consultant? What Power Platform is? How am I going to fit as a developer in this position? I let myself to explore this opportunity and explore how I could fit in there, but I felt quite lost as I was in a new and unknown territory. But as people say, best things in life happen unexpectedly, and this was no exception.

At the beginning I was so reticent because the developer position wasn´t the typical image I have pictured in my head, but I had the chance to discover a lot of different possibilities as I was getting to know D365 CRM world. My tasks included not only to write code, but functional tasks as well. It was so hard, specially at the beginning, because there were a lot of things I had to learn in too much of a hurry. However, I started to feel confident about myself and I was able to see all things CRM could provide me.

I was really surprised when it comes to work environment. I have always imagined consulting as something bored, kind of grey, a bit serious… but it was totally the opposite. I felt welcomed even since the very beginning. Everybody was up to help me, and I really mean everybody. And that´s not even the best part! The work environment is so great even consultancy could be exigent with the employees, who are always laughing and showing their caring for each other.

If I only think about my first thoughts about this internship, I cannot express enough how wrong I was thinking I couldn´t fit in this place. Not only I am learning how to be a developer, but I am also growing up as a functional consultant. In this sense, my knowledge is getting vast in more than one direction.

My personal story is a friendly reminder that your professional career could turn out in unexpected ways you could never imagine. In my view, we should always be open minded about new opportunities and experiences.

It´s funny how I used to think I wouldn´t fit in CRM, D365 or Power Platform… Now I can see crystal clear this has been a gift for me. To sum up, my adventure in Axazure is being a challenge where I am having the opportunity to discover myself in both professional and personal ways. Everyday is a chance for going forward and learn new things.

I have no doubt I am taking the best professional path I could ever imagine.
