Car Sharing industry implementation with Dynamics 365 Finance at Free2Move
The Challenge
Washington DC was in 2019 the state chosen by the PSA Group to start its new business line under the Free2Move brand in the USA.
After the experience acquired in projects of the carsharing industry in Spain such as ElParking or EMOV, on this occasion Axazure’s “challenge” was to demonstrate that they could be deployed in an agile way in multiple countries as a RollOut starting from a European and a North American environment.
The Journey
The project scope was focused in putting into operation a solution that would integrate with the car’s IoT supplier (VULOG) and the payment gateway ADYEN, taking all the financial and economic control from the ERP.
The most critical points to address in this project, due to the volume of transactions that would impact, were the management by the ERP of processes such as the impact of credits/minutes free in marketing campaigns, the reclassification of debt of those potential customers who had incidents at the time of settlement and, of course, the relevant process of invoices and payments.
The Arrival
After the Washington DC implementation, we successfully deployed Frankfurt (Germany) and Paris (France) demonstrating that the knowledge acquired in massive integration processes and the core strategy of implementation in American and European RollOut had been differential to guarantee the implementation success with Dynamics 365 Finance.
CONCLUSION
The design of a solid architecture that could scale along with a correct functional plan in the ERP, became critical parts for Axazure to successfully continue on this international journey through different cities in the world. Lisbon and Madrid are the stops for 2021, the journey has only just begun.
