Implementing a digital commerce is a challenge, especially when it comes to carrying out the different integrations to feed the ecommerce with the ERP data (products, prices, promotions, available stock, etc.) and recovering the sales again in the management system. And that is in the best case scenario, as there are also times when you choose to manage the two tools independently. Quite an odyssey, isn’t it?
The solution? Microsoft ecommerce, a tool that is fully integrated with Dynamics 365 Commerce, which allows us to forget about costly integrations, and gives us the ability to use all the data we already have configured in the ERP.
The best thing is that Microsoft has simplified things even more to make our work easier, it has created Site Builder, an intuitive designer that allows us to configure every aspect and page of our ecommerce. Another advantage is that we can access the Site Builder from the LCS project where we have hosted the ERP.
This designer is designed to make the configuration of each page as simple and intuitive as possible, since Microsoft allows us to create templates and create fragments to avoid repetitive configurations.
In addition, it provides us with a series of modules with predefined functionality, so that when creating a page we do not have to worry about developing the processes related to the functionality. So by adding a module within the tree of a page, we have prepared the functionality that we want to offer to the client.
For example, we add the card payment module to the CheckOut page and all we have to do is configure one of the supported payment gateways.
And finally, as it is an integral part of the ERP itself, we do not forget the omnichannel management of our business. This tool allows cross operations between the online shop and any of the physical shops that we have registered in the ERP.
